Jasmine rice, also known as Thai fragrant rice, is an aromatic “long-grain” rice where each grain is about four times as long as it is wide. Jasmine rice comes in a variety of colors. White jasmine rice, in particular, is largely processed and has more nutritional similarities to white rice than to brown jasmine rice. It is moist and soft in texture when cooked, with a slightly sweet flavour. The soft texture of the grain make it the perfect match for Japanese and Thai foods. When properly cooked jasmine rice is silky smooth, melts in your mouth and blends perfectly with the flavours of Asian dishes. Japanese Choice Jasmine Rice is simply the best.

Preparation and Usage/Cooking Instructions (if any):
1. Rinse 500 g (serves 4 person) of Japanese Choice Jasmine Rice just once, drain.
2. Place the rice in a sauce pan or in rice cooker and add 750 ml of water.
3. For rice cooker, secure the lid in place and do not remove until done, switch the cooker on. For stovetop, bring the rice and water to the boil then reduce the heat to simmer and cover the sauce pan with the lid tightly and cook for 15 to 20 minutes.
4. When the rice is cooked, serve while hot.
